Job description

Seeking a full-time, experienced carpenter to join our dynamic and growing team. You will work on both private and public job sites—residential remodels, tenant improvements, and commercial prevailing wage projects—and report directly to the General Contractor and office support staff.

This role requires excellent communication skills, as you will collaborate with various individuals including construction laborers, sub-contractors, project managers, inspectors, and clients.

If you are adaptable, detail-oriented, and experienced in both hands-on construction and coordinating tasks on active job sites, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform carpentry duties including framing, drywall, trim, and finish work
  • Conduct minor masonry, concrete, and general repair work
  • Handle installation and reconfiguration of modular furniture
  • Support other trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) as needed
  • Complete punch list items, odd jobs, and handyman duties across multiple projects
  • Ensure job site cleanliness, safety, and compliance with applicable codes and standards

Min Qualifications:

  • 5 years of hands-on construction experience
  • Active driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to stand, lift, and use hand/power tools for extended periods
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
  • Willingness to travel to job sites throughout Northern California

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5–10 years of experience in both residential and commercial construction
  • Familiarity with public works and prevailing wage job sites
  • Experience in plumbing and basic electrical tasks
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience with scheduling, coordinating subcontractors, and time management
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Home Depot Pro Rewards, Divvy)
  • OSHA certification and/or strong commitment to job site safety
